Emotional Healing

Today was my first day back to CycleBar. I can’t tell you how hard it has been to not do the things I love doing. I had a conversation with one of my favorite instructors, Christy before class. The conversation was raw and emotional. It hit me that I was on the other side of the journey. My body has healed, and CycleBar has healed my mind, too. As I cycled for 45 minutes, I just thought to myself how lucky I am to have this community as support.

I encourage anyone reading this to do something for their mind. You have to put it all together. You have to work through the struggles you’ve been through, and have support. It is okay to be alone with your thoughts, and feel all the things you need to feel to heal whatever you’ve been through. Today Christy talked about embracing our scars. For a long time, I didn’t want to deal with my scars. It is sometimes a lot easier to just try to put the hard things you’ve been through in the back of your mind. Your body carries that stress. I have learned to now embrace my scars. It took me a long time to get to this place. May you find your own emotional healing, and embrace it.
